Boondocking at its finest. This is the first Boondocking site we’ve been able to get the site I picked out via Google maps. Beautiful area, off-road enthusiasts in the distance, and spacious. Right outside of Joshua Tree National Park. Stay Details: Joshua Tree North Dispersed (34.1716, -116.2291)

![]() When there’s no way you’d find a good enough barber (away from home) to match up to your home-town barber, you just need to learn some new skills. Mark Heberling, hubby says you might just have some competition. Getting ready for the holidays. Still have to put on some finishing touches. If anyone has ideas for small, light-weight creative ideas, I would love to hear them. :-)
Route 66: the old town of Oatman, where the wild burros are descendants of the original settlers herd, and they make this town their home. Old quaint shops, and gunfights depicting the old days in this gold-mining town. Proceeds of their daily shootout go to the Shriners Hospital
Cool Springs: where an original 1929 service station is home to Route 66 memorabilia. California: Just because were so close, and following Route 66 back home. The Laughlin Labyrinths: Just because it’s actually really good exercise and it’s fun! 1) The rewards after a day of hard work (maintenance, cleaning, cooking) is.....
Guiltless relaxation. Happy November from sunny Arizona! 2) Oh how I love our kids/grandkids, but there’s just something about a kidless pool. And oh how we count down the days to swimming with the kids again too! 2) I never thought I’d buy a rake to keep the rocks neat. Apparently a lot of people in the south make their rocks look nice (since there’s no grass) . 3) Oh how I miss the grass.. 4) Note our screen door is open. Pica loves watching the neighborhood, and it’s weird keeping it open! No bugs! Stay Details: Silver View RV Resort; Bullhead City, AZ Going to be ‘plugged in’ for a few weeks. SO weird (but nice!) to go swimming in November. Time for laundry & cleaning. :-)
Stay Details: Sunrise Adventures Ridgeview Resort Pica is in the salon, so we did our ‘no dogs’ walk on the Hoover Dam.
We had to go through A security checkpoint where the truck was searched (poor officer) . Then we drove over the dam & walked the dam then drove up to and walked the rainbow bridge overlooking the dam. For those who haven’t visited for a while, very few vehicles can cross the dam anymore. All traffic is routed on the new bridge that was built in 2007. *Note the water levels of Lake Meade (water line on mountains). These are extremely low levels, and the city of Las Vegas is concerned about running out of water. Stay Details: Lake Mead, Government Wash (36.1309, -114.8369) My baby is back from her first professional groomer ever! Stephanie said Pica was definitely a challenge, but she never had to muzzle her. Wow she looks good!
We had great memories of this city when we traveled here with our children, but that has all changed. I'm sure it was partly due to Covid, but many things were boarded up, shut down, or just plain closed. No shows, not much fun. We did walk through some of our favorite malls, but even the mall shows were closed. What we did see was the water show at the Fountains of Bellagio which was really cool (snip below). We also watched some street entertainers and got out of there before evening. Stay Details: Lake Meade "Government Wash" (36.1309, -114.8369) |
