Due to Covid, we are not able to cross the Maine border. We have been in contact with your work-camper boss, and he advises that he will schedule us to help some other time.
SO, we are turning around and heading west instead. May the Lord guide our paths and bring us the people He wants us to help and be with.

Note to self: Never try to hike the Glen in 95 degree weather! Otherwise, this place is beautiful! A nicer blessing was to hike it with our daughter and granddaughter! :-)
(See more photos on our NEW YORK page) We chose this campground because it was close to Watkins Glen without actually being in one of the very packed locations. We enjoyed our trip through wine country!
While we were here, we rode another 32 miles today, the prettiest part being on the Keuka Outlet Trail. Then we explored parts of our campground which is the abandoned Sampson Air Force Base. Just LOVE exploring! Details: Sampson State Park; Romulus NY. Our daughter Maria blessed us with a visit for a few days, so we visited Boldt Castle in the Thousand Islands region of New York state. The castle was built on Heart Island, and is a very common tourist attraction today. It was an awesome excursion, I would highly recommend this if you are in the area!
There was a great bicycle trail down the road and multiple trails in the area. Details: Wellesley Island State Park; Fineview NY. * The state park was an absolutely beautiful location, near the water, with plenty of space on each lot. I would definitely recommend this place! Finally.. the place I’ve been looking forward to for months! A ‘Boondockers Welcome’ site in the name of “Redden’s Falls”. We are the only ones at this little secluded haven. Time for some real R&R.
Jack was a super nice host. He offered for us to fill up with water before we went to the peninsula where we would park. He guided us to our spot; he filled up the gravity filled water for the bathroom every morning, and even had built a gazebo for the RVers relaxing pleasure. This was truly a nice place to stay, and if you are members to Boondockers Welcome, we would highly suggest looking this one up! Details: This is a Boondockers Welcome location and is only available for BW memberships. If you are a traveler, love to meet people, and would love to visit beautiful locations you'd normally not see, check out BW. We think it was WELL worth the membership! Heading toward Maine, we stopped at this KOA (listed below) because we wanted to swim in the pool with Pey before we dropped him off. We spent most of the day at Cuyahoga, and had a GREAT time with him, and he was excited to see and experience new things. This was a gorgeous location with a lot of nature trails and beauty. We would definitely recommend this for a visit.
Details: Streetsboro/Cleveland KOA; Streetsboro OH. * Note: This campground was a bit tight, but there were several locations on the far side of the park that had decent lots. We stayed here with Joe and family as a vacation away instead of going to Cedar Point. We visitied the aerospace museum, and had a dinner and campfire together.
Details: Arrowhead Lakes is a membership only resort owned by Venture Out Resorts. Check them out HERE. What a great retirement party and a great turn-out! Thank you so much Katie for heading this up, to Maria for making the awesome PowerPoint, and especially to the entire family who visited to made this so special for Mark. It couldn’t have been any more perfect! We love you all! Here are some of the highlights. Stay Details: Sugarloaf Campground, Waterloo State Park
Bumbleberry Acres is a blueberry farm owned by a couple that is very generous in letter RVers stay with them. We were welcomed with an awesome explanation of the blueberry types and how they grow best. We were then offered to meet their petting zoo, walk the property and relax. The next day we found a local trail and road into town. It was awesome!
Before departure, they blessed us with a homemade Bumbleberry Pie! Yumm! Details: Bumbleberry Acres is a Harvest Host location on the west side of the state. You may not be able to stay there if you are not a HH member. However, please visit them during the Blueberry season for some awesome berries & bakes! Met up with Jeff & Lisa. Had dinner, walked the harbor & visited by campfire. Such a wonderful time!
