We took a little side trip to see this well renowned state park. It was definitely pretty exciting to walk the trails and see the castle and beautiful waters. We walked the Castle Trail, Natural Bridge Trail, Colossal Trail, Spring Trail & Island Trail.
Stay Details: Lake of the Ozark State Park - Site 161
Note: This was the only campground nearby Ha Ha Tonka, and it also has some nice hiking trails. It was a very quiet park, on lots of hills, and decently spaced sites. All the sites by the lake are dry camping, so we didn't have electric for the 3 days we were here. We were prepared for this, and knew we'd be using more solar, and needed to fill our fresh water before getting to the site.
