The 𝑱𝒐𝒔𝒉𝒖𝒂 𝑻𝒓𝒆𝒆. The tree that is actually a Yucca plant that grows like a tree. The only place in the world they grow is in the Mohave Desert, south NV and east AZ between elevetaions of 2000-6000 ft. They are also referred to as a Yucca Palm, and they are federally protected inside the national park.
The really cool thing about these plants, is that they depend on the Yucca moth for polination, and the Yucca moth also relies on the Joshua Tree to survive. Neither would survive without the other. The life span of these trees is about 500 years. Enjoy the photos of the Joshua Tree National Park, including some neat trails, and the San Andreas fault.
