Today was quite emotional. Meeting up with good friends is always a highlight, and riding around in new places is a bonus, but along with that, we toured Minneapolis, the destruction, the beautiful murals of remembrance, and finally the place where George Floyed was killed. The street was closed off.. it was quiet as people reflected on the many names who were afflicted by brutality. America is truly changing, and only time will tell us how this American icon will change how people are treated.
I know a LOT of wonderful police officers and people in general. I must say though, that there are corrupt people in every profession.
My hope is that we can all learn through this situation; to be forgiving like his family; to be respectful like his friends; for our leaders to enforce rightful policies in the workplace and to discipline the corrupt before it gets out of hand.. But most of all, for us all to be blind to the color of our skin, and treat each other equally and with respect. To love again, and to be there for each other always...
