Once we received our camper, I was able to take better measurements and make our custom spice rack. I think I like it! :-)
I ordered small square jars with rubber seals on Amazon. Then I purchased 1x3 oak boards, 8' long. I also bought trim pieces for the front and some cheap thin slats for the back. The front trim is used to keep the jars from falling during travel. They are raised 1/4" above the level of the board, just enough for them to keep the jars put. The thin slats for the back are also used to keep the jars in place. This makes it a LOT easier to move the entire rack when needed without having jars fall all over the place. I used a nail gun to put it all together. Trim, stain then seal. Wa-la! Lastly, I put a small amount of Quakehold under the rack, then pressed firmly onto the counter. This keeps it in place during travel and I never have to move the rack or the jars. Happy cook.. :-)
