In today’s post..
1- Why one must take a trip off the beaten path 2- When traveling, why you should consider staying at Casinos 1- If you ever feel 'beat up' from the city driving, living, or breathing.. Then reset your mind and give your heart & lungs a break by finding a really windey road and take a hike. The "S Grade Rd" on the way to the Palmoar Observatory fits the bill perfectly. We knew the Observatory was closed, but the hike and drive were fantastic! Check out the pics for more details. 2- We had 2 days to waste before settling in at the next resort, so we chose to stay at the Casino Pauma. If you don't know this already, most casinos have free parking available to RVers. Why not take advantage of that? Upon arriving, we go in to the casino to check in, they jot down our vehicle info, then give us 3 coupons for their amenities. We don't gamble, so we ended up having a Prime Rib & Salmon dinner with the coupons. The price? FREE! The overnight stays? FREE! All while having 24hr security and a lighted area. So, if you ever wonder about staying at a casino when you're traveling, it will likely be the safest place, and they might even pay YOU in some way to stay there with them! For this specific casino, our view was spectacular! 70 degrees, oranges and mountains. What could be better!
